The Kre8tor, which is commercially available immediately, can achieve speeds of up to 120sqm/hr with sharp print quality up to 1,800dpi resolution.
The machine can print 3.2m-wide rigid substrates – with extension tables included – or roll-to-roll – rewind and unwind with precise tension control also included. Material feeds continuously without stoppage to give higher throughput.
The printer comes with six colours plus white, using seven Kyocera 3pl printheads, and has the option to print only four colours. White is inline with colours, which the manufacturer said gives ease and speed of use.
Features include auto material thickness sensing, which is said to enable the easy change of materials up to 120mm thick. Edge-to-edge printing is standard and multilayer printing is also available.
The company has also introduced high-density UV ink for use on the Kre8tor, which it said uses less ink per square metre.
Gandy Digital president Hary Gandy said: “We didn’t have a 3.2m hybrid UV machine before so this is a nice addition to our line-up.
“If somebody doesn’t have the space for our 5m machine, or doesn’t want to spend as much, they can now have this smaller, lower cost product.”
Gandy Digital, exhibiting at stand B7-D21, is also showing the Softjet 5000, its OEM’d version of manufacturer ATPColor’s new DFP2000 5.3m-wide textile printer with inline fixation.
