The Prime L was one of the new Fujifilm products unveiled at Fespa in Berlin last May, where Fujifilm also showcased its ‘Blueprint’ product development concept focused on price/performance and ROI, versatility and value, and ease of use.
The device filled a gap in Fujifilm’s revamped wide-format product portfolio, and joins the existing 2.5m x 1.25m Prime 20 and 30 models.
The larger Acuity Prime L has a maximum print area of 3.2m x 2m and prints at up to 202sqm/hr.
A new jettable primer boosts adhesion on tricky substrates, and it can be configured with up to seven ink channels including white, clear and primer.
It uses Fujifilm’s Uvijet HM ink system, which was developed for the Prime family.
One of the first installations in Europe is at German creative production business Tom Fox, based in southern Germany, where the new Prime L joins an Acuity 30.
Anda Baboi, marketing manager at Fujifilm Wide Format Inkjet Systems commented: “Larger in size, it enables businesses to increase their productivity without compromising on speed or quality.”
Fujifilm said the ballpark price of the Acuity Prime L was around £160,000.
