The Audionpack H20 and H25 models are entry-level machines particularly aimed at short- to medium-run production, with the ability to seal and shrink in one operation.
Friedheim sales manager for post-press and packaging Stuart Bamford said the pair are suitable for any commercial printer with a requirement for shrink wrapping, or that wants to enter the market at a reasonable price.
"We’ve been told by those that are using the H20 and H25 that the machines practically pay for themselves in one job," he said. The machines, which start from £2,000 (excluding VAT), can shrinkwrap up to 300 packs an hour.
Netherlands manufacturer Audion Elektro, which also began distributing the CS Matic through Friedheim earlier this year, claims that the machines are simple to use with a compact footprint, and the accurate temperature control offers superior seal quality and extended wire durability against similar models in the marketplace.
The smaller H20 can handle products up to 210mm high, with a seal frame dimension of 440x300mm and maximum film reel size of 300x450mm. The H25 can handle products up to 260mm high and has a seal frame size of 560x430mm and maximum film reel size of 300x600mm.
Electro-magnetic closure of the shrink hood runs automatically, ensuring that the hood opens upon completion of the cycle. However, there is an option to delay opening, and delay the shrink cycle upon closure of the hood. The models have two program options: seal only and seal and shrink.
Both machines can handle PVC, polyolefin and micro-perforated films at a thickness of 10 to 30 microns.
