The Alius machine is available in three sizes, 70, 90 and 110, and will replace the manufacturer's previous flagship, the Hi-Line series.
With maximum belt speeds of 600m/min and a capacity to take cartonboard substrates from 200-500gsm, the machine boasts full servo control and intelligent automatic setup.
Friedheim converting manager Roger Cartwright said: “Alius is suitable for straight-line boxes mainly for companies that have big volumes, such as pharmaceutical and food packaging.
“It has been designed to be unrivalled in the market with its unique abilities. All its attributes mechanically and electronically have been developed with the future in mind. Companies have started to convert their factories into smart factories and Alius will easily be a part of these smart factories with its capabilities.
“We are confident that Alius’ modern and user-friendly design, as well its use of the newest technology electronics, software, state of the art controls and safety management features will make it stand out from the rest.”
The Alius machines will go out to market at the start of next year, and are designed for easy integration with ancillary systems, including pre-feeders and automated packers, allowing customers to customise workflows around their device.
