Nazdar showcases ink innovations
Nazdar Ink Technologies showed a wide range of its digital inkjet, screen, and flexo inks, as well as examples of its special effects portfolio. Products being highlighted by the US-based manufacturer include the Nazdar 706, 707, and 708 Series UV-LED inkjet inks, which have been developed as a direct replacement for Mimaki LUS Inks. Offering “exceptional compatibility, quality and cost effectiveness, combined with a seamless conversion process”, the inks are closely colour-matched and chemically compatible with the original inks.
Trotec shows new features
Trotec Laser showed products including cutters, u-series galvo markers and Speedy Series engravers at Fespa. The SP2000 large-format laser cutter offers four-sided and can cut wood, acrylic and cardboard. Additionally, the Speedy 400 engraver features a new integrated camera system, enabling users to see live colour images of the work, whether the lid is open or closed. It also features the latest Ruby software.
Productionserver 22 unveiled
Colour management specialist ColorGate demonstrated the latest version of its Productionserver product for industrial digital printing and graphic arts. The Productionserver 22 is a colour management and RIP solution tailored for ceramic, packaging, décor and textile printing. The latest iteration uses Adobe PDF Print Engine 5.7 to render files, while the advanced Rest API interface automatically transfers jobs and allows print status queries of existing jobs. Version 22 has been equipped with Color Correction Loop Module specifically for improving quality for décor printers. Alongside the latest Production-server, ColorGate also showed visitors its Rapid SpectroCube and Custom Create web-to-production solution.
Drytac sponsoring show features
Drytac, whose materials are featured on a range of stands run by partners including Epson, Mutoh, and Keencut, sponsored two special areas at Fespa. In the inaugural Sustainability Spotlight zone, the company is showcasing selected products from its upcoming launch of Drytac Zero, a new line of environmentally friendly products that use zero phthalates, carcinogenic additives, plasticisers, chlorine, or PVC. The products are 100% vegan, manufactured to ISO 14001 standards, and can be fully recycled. Within the Printeriors area of Fespa, Drytac is showing a range of products suitable for interior decor to cover windows, walls, floors, and more.
OneVision promotes partnerships
OneVision Software partnered with Canon and Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems at Fespa for two live automation demos. Showcasing its modular Wide Format Automation Suite, OneVision ran an end-to-end production workflow for customised print products from the point of order entry in a web store, through the file preparation process to printing and finishing. The live workflow incorporated Canon Arizona or Colorado printers and cutting systems from Zünd and Fotoba. A Kongsberg X22 cutting system also ran on the OneVision stand as the software manufacturer demonstrated how its automation uses nesting technology.
Antalis brings green focus
Antalis (25-A55) brought a sustainability focus to Fespa as a premium supporter of the expo’s new Sustainability Spotlight feature. The merchanting group also showcased its Coala range of substrates for large-format printing, including its new Coala Interior Film range and Coala Windows Décor decorative films. The Coala range encompasses around 200 products spanning paper, film, textiles and adhesives. Xavier Jouvet, group papers and visualcom business director at Antalis International, said the firm used Fespa as an opportunity to “encourage eco-responsible practices in our industry”. “We are committed to meeting our clients’ high expectations on the transition to a circular economy,” he said.
Sustainability key for Neschen
Neschen Coating created a forest-themed Fespa booth inspired by the raw materials used in its sustainable products. Focused entirely on its graphic product portfolio and laminator range the Neschen team showed presentations of selected products such as the ColdLam 1650 and showing eco-friendly application displays of its printable media. The Bückeberg-based manufacturer’s booth walls are made entirely from Neschen’s PVC-free substrates including Easydot and easyStyle films and sustainable wallpaper. Chief marketing officer Erik Geutjes said: “It is important for us to show that sustainability does not have to mean that a product is less powerful. “On the contrary, we communicate how the printing and advertising industry can impact the state of the environment thanks to high-quality nature-based alternatives without having to lower their own standards.”
