The inclusion of PitStop 11 will enable users of PartnerWeb Configuration and PartnerWeb Publication to correct errors before the PDF files reach the prepress, which the manufacturer claims will streamline overall production and ease the workload in pre-press departments.
Enfocus Smart Preflight enables delivered PDF files to be checked against job order information, which is provided by the print buyer via the web portal.
The print buyer receives a report indicating any differences between the PDF and the order information, and what the impact will be on the price. They are then be given the option to automatically adjust the PDF or accept the job order based on the new price.
GamSys chief executive Patrick Vreven said: "This brings added value to our customers by automating the checking, reporting and correcting of web-to-print orders immediately upon delivery to the printer."
"By applying Enfocus Smart Preflight and Correction at the point of order entry, print buyers can automatically ensure that uploaded PDF files match the job order information.
"This makes the workflow faster and more efficient for the printer and avoids frustration for the print buyer when late in the process it becomes apparent that the PDF file doesn’t match the order information."
Vreven added that the partnership between the two parties was driven by customer demand for a more streamlined delivery of PDF files for web-to-print orders.
