The colour management device now supports the new EFI-ES2000 spectrophotometer, which features a positioning mechanism to ensure complete patch scanning and can predict the intensity of colours on brightened paper in different light conditions.
CPS 4.0, made commercially available on 6 September, also supports the industry-standard colour measurement system X-Rite i1 Isis, which can automatically scan up to A3+ and tabloid pages in a few minutes.
Users have full control over profile generation with the latest version, which operates through the Fiery controller to provide front-end accessibility through Fiery Dashboard and drive small and wide-format printers connected via the Fiery XF RIP.
Customers with CPS 3.1 and earlier versions can upgrade to 4.0 for £660 and new users can sign up to CPS 4.0 software for £1,685 or £2,490 with built-in ES-2000 spectrophometre.
EFI recently launched its Fiery certification programme to familiarise its software and digital print server users with features through self-paced online courses.
