According to C&T managing director Simon Shenton, the tie-up will offer die-makers in the UK an alternative to existing offerings from European manufacturers.
The EasyBender R-Pro features multi-diameter adjustments with the ability to bend rotary rule from 25cm to 69cm inner diameter. It also features a servo-controlled grip feed system, and hydraulic cutting system.
Meanwhile the Easybender NS2 is a steel rule processor/bender using a single linear process that cand bend 1.5-, 2-, 3- and 4-point rule up to 5cm high. It features adjustable height notching, cutting and mitering tools, and inline nicking and broaching.
Shenton said one device had already been sold in the UK with very positive feedback.
“The partnership with SDS grew because C&T is the UK’s leading supplier of consumables for the die-cutting and die-making industry,” he said.
“We supply all of the UK’s die-makers with consumables but we did not have any machinery to offer these customers. Easybender were looking for an agent in the UK to sell their bending machinery – it is used by die-makers and as we already have the contacts within the UK, so we were perfectly aligned.
“Currently there is only one product being sold in the UK – an Italian made product named Serviform - therefore die-makers had no alternative. This is where the Easybender machine comes in; they have now got an alternative on which to base their purchasing decisions,” he explained.
The devices are available for demonstration at the C&T’s Wellingborough, Northamptonshire facility.
