The substrate, which is available in thicknesses of 2mm, 3mm and 4mm, offers high strength-to-weight ratio, workability, chemical resistance and fire performance, according to Brett Martin.
The UK-based specialist plastic sheet manufacturer said that while this product is more suitable for flat and cold bending applications, such as POS display stands, poster glazing and illuminated signage, it may also be thermoformed and hot-line bent within a controlled temperature range to avoid crystallisation.
The company will also showcase other key products from its transparent sheet range on its Fespa stand (Hall 6, Stand R100). Its complete Foamalux PVC range will be on display and will include new additions of a 24mm thickness option for Foamalux White and 19mm thicknesses of the environmentally friendly Foamalux Xtra.
The Foamalux range includes Foamalux White, a brighter white, direct-to-print PVC substrate which offers high UV stability for digital printing, and Foamalux Colours, which is available in a palette of 15 vibrant colours including Neon Pink, Neon Green, Raspberry and Black Sparkle.
Foamalux Ultra features a high-gloss finish in a choice of six colours plus white while Foamalux Xtra comprises up to 80% recycled content in its black core, which is either sandwiched between two bright white PVC surfaces or available as black with one white surface.
Also on show on the firm's Fespa stand will be the Marpet-g FS PETg, Marlon FS Polycarbonate and Marcryl FS ranges.
The firm said Marpet-g FS PETg can handle a wide range of processing conditions, allowing for easy fabrication, printing, heating and thermoforming. The product, which is available in thicknesses between 2mm and 10mm, is suitable for sign, display and store fixture applications.
Marlon FS Polycarbonate, a highly durable thermoplastic, provides 200 times more impact resistance than glass and is suitable for illuminated signs, displays and poster covers requiring high resistance to wear and tear. It is available in thicknesses from 2-15mm.
The Marcryl FS range of high gloss acrylic sheets combines glass-like clarity with high scratch and weather resistance and is suitable for high end applications where a clear polished edge finish is required. It is available in thicknesses of 2-10mm.
