Comprised of three components – the Spectro LFP platform, the spectral unit and the sensing unit – the device comes complete with Barbieri's qb technology for high-end LED illumination and a precision spectral core.
It builds on the existing Spectro LFP Series 3, which remains available.
Key features of the machine include a new measurement mode for reflection and transmission, a removable measuring head for measuring spot colours, a camera-supported sensing unit and the ability to measure fluorescent inks.
It has a measuring aperture of 2x6x8mm, can handle reflectives and transmissives and measure on media up to 20mm thick.
Barbieri vice-president of international sales and marketing Wolfgang Passler said: “We’ve already had amazing feedback about this and many orders.
“Users like that they can take off the measurement head, and that they can do spot measurements, which is especially used in the textile market to reproduce spot colours and to do quick comparisons between what should be the spot colour, and what has been printed.
“Fespa has been the most important show for us since we entered the signage market. It’s a global tradeshow that all of our potential customers come to.”
Barbieri is exhibiting at stand 1.1-B30 at Messe Berlin until Friday (18 May).
