The lower grammage backing paper of RAFNXT+ (3gsm lighter) is FSC certified, allowing Antalis to classify the whole range as FSC Mixed Credit. The company said the face paper in the range remains the same as previous Raflatac Graphic products to maintain the same high-quality printing performance.
Antalis said the verification of RAFNXT+ by the Carbon Trust has been accomplished as a result of the product design’s smarter use and choice of natural resources, and the use of less raw materials, energy, and water.
Antalis product manager Ben Cahill said: “We are pleased to be the exclusive self-adhesive sheet distributor for UPM Raflatac in the UK, and their new RAFNXT+ range provides customers with a fully FSC certified product, which also has the advantage of being the world’s first label material to be verified by the Carbon Trust.”
Antalis told Printweek RAFNXT+ is commercially available immediately and that there is no premium to pay for the range compared to the previous Raflatac Graphic products.
