The colour flip shades – Gloss Flip Electric Wave, Satin Flip Caribbean Shimmer and Satin Flip Glacial Frost – refract hues of purple, deep teal and soft blue, which the firm said creates "prismatic finishes" for vehicle wraps and graphics.
The 1080 range also now includes new satin, sparkle and glossy colours including Gloss Storm Gray, Satin Gold Dust Black and Gloss White Gold Sparkle as well as Cinder Sparkle Red, Gloss Ice Blue and Satin Frozen Vanilla.
3M commercial solutions division marketing team leader Penelope Webley said: "These wrap films give a customer the opportunity to create their own look. Whether they want to wrap just the roof and wing mirrors or if they want a full wrap, they can choose from our wide range of vehicle personalisation products to get a unique finish on their vehicle.
"The trio of new colour flip shades exhibit lively polychromatic effects that create unique, multi-colour dimensions that shift under different viewing angles and lighting."
The new films were launched last week and are sold in the UK through distributors William Smith and Spandex.
The films are available in 1.52m-wide rolls, meaning any section of a vehicle can be wrapped without seams, and the thickness is 0.09mm without adhesive and 0.11mm with adhesive.
The films are said to offer strong dimensional stability, repositionability, high durability and permanent adhesive properties.
