What’s at the top of your Christmas wish list this year?
It’s been a busy year, so top of the wish list is simply to enjoy some time with friends and family... and a Premier League win for Man Utd in 2015!
What trend (business or technology) do you think 2014 will be remembered for?
The announcement of the Apple Watch debuting in 2015, and overall developments in wearable technology. Technology will be less intrusive and socially more compatible as it becomes seamlessly interwoven with our person.
What do you think will represent the single biggest opportunity for printers in 2015 and why?
Process efficiencies are key – and working with partners such as Tag to promote the success stories, where printed communication adds real value to multi-channel campaigns, will help to encourage an increase in print spend by global brands.
What do you think will represent the single biggest threat for printers in 2015 and why?
It has to be responsiveness. As an organisation’s use of digital evolves and grows, it is also important to ensure that printers have the innovation and agility to respond to the needs of customers in differing markets in a more responsive manner.
What’s the one thing that the industry should do more of, or do better, in 2015?
Collaboration to drive a better vision for the co-existence of print and digital – both equally important!
What was your biggest disappointment in 2014?
David Moyes.
What was your highlight of 2014?
Louis van Gaal... and running my first Ultra Marathon.
What are your hopes for 2015?
Health and happiness and a vibrant Tag business.
What was the most important thing that you learnt in 2014?
The harder you work the luckier you get.
What if anything will you do differently in 2015?
Listen for comprehension. Very different to just listening.
What’s your favourite Christmas cracker joke?
What do you get if you eat Christmas decorations? Tinsilitis.
I have to thank my colleague Lou Barber for that one.
Are you making any new year’s resolutions? If so, what?
Run faster. Drink slower.
Who will win the Rugby World Cup in 2015?
New Zealand... unfortunately.
