Q I’m looking for a new printing partner to provide me with services for my online product sales, mainly vinyl and window stickers. I’m not interested in big operations and would prefer to work with a small firm or a one-man outfit.

A So far, I’ve collected three small window sticker printers interested in learning more of this potential collaboration. Alex Holloway, director at Holloway Graphics, is keen for you to get in touch after 25 August: 01962 882345, alex.holloway@hollographics.com, www.hollographics.com. His firm specialises in short runs of custom stickers. His business doesn’t require a minimum quantity, but it has a minimum order value of £50 plus £10 carriage (UK delivery) and VAT. Paul Wintle, director of Klingdec, is also interested in finding out more. Email sales@klingdec.co.uk. Thecarsticker.co.uk is a two-man company that focuses on (you guessed it) car stickers, as we know and love them, inkjet printed and laminated, among other products. It doesn’t manufacture the ‘floppy vinyl’ sort that you can peel away over and over again, and doesn’t yet print on clear backgrounds, but I reckon you should call Phil Dunford for a chat on 01252 728259 anyway as this is the closest I’ve found to a one-man window sticker printing company! Prices, subject to final content, range from 10 at £3.75 each to 100 plus at £1.25 each, plus carriage and VAT.
Q My small software development start-up is considering employing the services of a PR firm. Can you suggest any that specialise in print-related businesses?

A Ah yes! As a journalist, I know a bit about PRs and, I must say, the ones I’ve had to deal with at PrintWeek have been particularly friendly, professional and efficient, so you’ll be in safe hands. The Bespoke Agency (01737 215200, www.bespoke.co.uk), AD Communications (01372 464470/www.adcomms.co.uk), Splash! PR & Marketing (01580 214477/www.splashpr.co.uk) and Amplifier.pr (01306 646440/www.amplifierpr.com) all look after a number of clients within the UK print industry as well as internationally – from software developers and press manufacturers to giant printers and non-profit organisations. There are of course a host of others (too many to name here), so I will email a more exhaustive list.
