According to Zünd, the G3 Series has been developed for greater accuracy and performance. It features hot pluggable cutting tools and automatic tool recognition that allows swapping of different tools on-the-fly without needing to recalibrate the system.
The Zünd E1 has been targeted at the large-format digital flatbed printing market. The company said the machine has been specifically configured to excel in the finishing of rigid digital print.
It is capable of finishing rigid substrates such as foamex, perspex, acrylic, dibond, kappa, corrugated materials and display board. Users can also upgrade the E1 to handle roll-fed material.
A spokesman for the company said: "From a financial standpoint, we believe the E1 can do the work of four trained finishing staff, but requires only one operator.
"That is an instant saving before you've even started to consider the increased productivity, reduced errors, and improved quality."
