Xingraphics forays into Indian market with processless plates

The Chinese plate manufacturer Chengdu Xingraphics Co has launched - Fit Eco Primo, a processless thermal plate - which it claims could be a game changer, especially as more and more eco products are gaining a foothold in India.

According to Xingraphics, the processless plates use a unique technology which eliminates the need for chemistry or additional processing equipment such as intermediate offline gumming or degumming stations.

"The elimination of processor and chemistry means no need to purchase a processor, reducing energy requirements, eliminating water requirements and, of course, eliminating chemistry, which reduces capital investment and operating costs and well as contributing to a greener environment," said Hijazi.

Having already formed alliances in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, US and parts of Europe, Xingraphics is looking for partners in India. It hopes "to capture a reasonable market share over a certain period of time."

Hijazi said: "The Indian market is large and growing. Xingraphics has developed a reputation of serving the global industry with quality products. We do not wish to flood cheap products like other Chinese producers, but focus on establishing our position and brand in the market by starting with a small market share."

Xingraphics India plans include working with partners - and then setting up its own facility.
