The black and white digital machine has been launched in conjunction with FreeFlow Accxes, Xerox workflow software for use in the creation of technical documents.
The 6279 can produce up to nine A1 prints per minute and scan up to 152.4mm per second using the printer's optional on-board scanner.
It offers print resolutions of up to 600x600dpi, features a 15in colour touchscreen and is available in a trio of configurations of 2-roll, 4-roll, or as 2-roll and 2-cut-sheet-tray.
The addition of two cut-sheet trays allows the 6279 to double as a mono A4 copier.
Howard Witt, manager of wide format at Xerox UK, said the new 6279 machine "further reaffirms Xerox’s commitment to the wide format market". The Xerox 6279 wide format printer is available to order now.
