The presses, which offer output speeds of 70ppm and 80ppm respectively, feature a new low-gloss toner that is claimed to help produce a smooth matte finish to prints.
Both machines can print onto stocks up to 300gsm in weight.
The 7002 and 8002 machines are also built with an in-line spectrophotometer that provides press performance data to the Xerox Automated Colour Quality Suite.
Martyn Train. Head of Marketing, Production Systems at Xerox UK, said the new models have a "wide marketplace appeal" thanks to the robustness of the presses.
He added: "There isn't one market where the new Xerox Docucolors could not turn their skill sets to."
In addition, the manufacturer has expanded its range of in-line finishing options that include the GBC ebinder 200 and Horizon Colorworks Pro Document Finisher.
The GBC ebinder eliminates manual operator intervention and can produce polyester bindings for applications up to 100 sheets.
The Horizon Colorworks Pro Document Finisher offers in-line folding, as well as corner and top stitching, face trimming and stacking.
The Xerox DocuColor 7002 and 8002 digital presses are available to order from 17 August.
