The entry-level machine, which was launched at Drupa, has been designed for the production of short to medium run lengths.
The 3000 model offers top printing speeds of 9.6m a minute at resolutions of 1,200dpi, compared to a top output rate of 19.2m a minute on Xeikon's 3300 machine.
It can handle a range of substrates, including materials such as self-adhesive films, opaque foils and textile transfers.
The Xeikon 3000 also comes specified with an X-800 digital front-end, which allows for the implementation of fully automated workflows.
Paul Willems, chief marketing officer at Punch Graphix, of which Xeikon is a division, said "global growth, enhancements in product development, legal and environmental standards" have created "new challenges for the label industry".
Willems added: "Xeikon has taken a stance to surpassing these standards. We welcome the Xeikon 3000 into our product portfolio to satisfy the needs of the label and packaging industry."
The Xeikon 3000 is available to order now.
