Stephen McLintock has joined the Cambridge-headquartered inkjet developer in what chief executive Doug Edwards described as a “pivotal role” for the company.
McLintock began his career as a mechanical engineer at DuPont, before moving to Danaher where he spent nearly 20 years in a variety of increasingly senior roles, culminating in the role of vice president for strategic accounts.
Danaher owns a host of print-related businesses, including Videojet, Linx, AVT, Esko, Pantone and X-rite.
McLintock was most recently divisional managing director at engineering group IMI PLC.
Edwards said: “His commercial experience across industrial and print sectors will be invaluable as we focus on delivering the products, technologies and services that our customers require and ensure we progress toward our vision of generating annual revenues of £220m by 2020.”
Edwards has revamped the senior management line-up at the business in recent years, trimming the size of the executive board in the process.
Xaar’s previous chief customer officer Richard Barham, who left the group in 2015, was not replaced at board level.
Despite delays to some anticipated new product roll-outs, Xaar is sticking to its ambitious growth plans.
