Cambridge-based Xaar and Swedish company Thin Film Electronics unveiled the printed RAM a year ago at Ipex after they began collaborating on the project in 2005.
Thin Film Electronics chief executive Johan Carlsson said: “We will now prove our technology’s manufacturability using industry standard inkjet for high volumes.”
Werner Zapka, head of Xaar’s advanced applications technology team, added: “As the printed electronics market evolves, we see numerous opportunities for products that include memory.”
