The bindery team won the award after producing a run of 400,000 32pp A5 booklets over 24 hours on its six-year-old Prima S saddlestitcher.
The Muller Martini gong tops off a big year for Woods of Perth, which is celebrating its 175th anniversary has and moved to a new purpose-built factory this year.
Bindery supervisor John Richards said: “We were very keen to win the award, and we all feel a great sense of achievement seeing it hanging there in reception.”
The entire bindery staff were involved in the mammoth effort, which ran over two shifts.
Muller Martini UK’s David McGinlay said: “They are a great team. Woods believes in training its staff well, and in buying the best equipment available. The new factory is also very impressive, with a well-planned design around a central courtyard garden; it’s obviously a nice place to work.”
