It is the second UK order for Timson this week, following Fulmar division Bookmarque's order for a third Timson for its Croydon factory.
Wheatons managing director Bob Brown (pictured on the right with Timson managing director Peter Brown) said that the investment would give the plant "the very best web printing and limp binding facilities the industry can offer".
He added that the Timson press had been chosen "with the needs and demands of our current and potential customers in mind."
"The ability to produce 48pp A4 and A5 two-colour sections, the semi-automatic plate changing and the reduction in paper wastage all contribute favourably to customers' schedules and costs," said Wheaton's Brown.
The Timson press has twin print units and a vertical web line, which means that there is no need to stop the press to change plates when printing single-colour work.
