Washington Web is proposing to go into liquidation a week after it made 60 staff redundant.
PrintWeek understands that a major supplier has issued a winding-up petition against the firm. A meeting of creditors will be held on 25 January, according to a letter dated 4 January and signed by director Paul Hutchinson.
An investigation into the receivership of Mayfair Print - where Hutchinson was chief executive before it collapsed - is still ongoing, according to the DTI.
Fuji Photo Film is owed 2,600 by Washington Web. It was also owed 7,500 by Mayfair Print when it went into receivership. Fuji group credit manager Stuart Hopewell said KingsLodge Developments emerged as a white knight for Mayfair at its creditors' meeting.
Trevor Graham and Michael Williams are listed as company directors of KingsLodge Developments.
Graham and Williams were also directors of Mayfair and are directors of KingsLodge Palatine, whose company secretary is Barbara Murphy, also company secretary of Washington Web. Links have emerged with a company called Creative Design & Print - a subsidiary of Washington Envelopes - where Hutchinson is reported to have worked following Mayfair's demise.
Its registered address is the same as Washington Web's, according to Companies House.
Fuji said Creative Design & Print had been trying to place orders for supplies after Washington's Web's announcement.
