The Holywell, North Wales-based business has installed a Xerox 4110 and a Docucolor 260 from supplier B2 Business Systems, in a deal worth £250,000 over five years.
The five-staff family business had previously entered the digital print arena with a Xerox Docucolor 3535, however, it now plans to expand its service with the new investments.
Glyn Williams, managing director at W Williams & Son Printers, said the digital machinery would help to reduce consumables spend, while also helping it to become more environmentally friendly.
He said: "Having digital kit saves on plates – it cuts our downtime and helps us handle the wide range of short-run work we carry out for customers."
The printer, which also operates a pair of two-colour Shinohara litho presses, said that it expected to benefit from the range of in-line finishing options that the Xerox presses offer.
Williams, who runs the business with father Richard, said: "The lithograph is great for long runs – we do up to a million sheets a run – but the digital will print, fold and stitch all in one process.
"Each system has its advantages and so we’re able to offer our customers the best of both worlds."
