To support the project, Vpress is sponsoring around 30 100 Project runners who are taking part in the Cheltenham Half Marathon this weekend.
The 100 Project was jointly developed by photographer Hywel Jenkins and Pink Sky Design owner Naomi Turner. Jenkins is also a part-time member of Vpress’s development team.
The initiative features photographic portraits of 100 people who are beating cancer and it has already surpassed its initial fundraising target of £4,000.
The project supports four cancer charities, Cobalt, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, MacMillan Cancer Support and Maggie’s Centres.
As well sponsoring the charity’s half marathon team, Vpress plans to support charity on an ongoing basis.
“It’s a wonderful and worthwhile project, the images feature people of all ages and its a nice take on the fact that cancer doesn’t necessarily ring the death knell and this initiative shows that there is hope and people do get better,” said Vpress marketing manager Emma Mortiboy.
“Every donation makes a massive difference to the people battling cancer because there isn’t a single person who hasn’t sadly been touched by the disease in some way.”
