Visitor's Speak: Kiran Prayagi and Mark Kannenberg

Visitors at PrintPack share their views on the print and the biggest show in Asia.

Kiran Prayagi, chairman, Graphic Arts Technology and Education

One print guru I remember the most and why?
I have many print gurus both in India and outside the country. Since print is a vast industry, I have gurus in the editorial field, consultancy field, education field etc. I admire them all because they are unique in their own field.

The best technology at PrintPack India 2011?
I find this exhibition very interesting. In India, the stalls have human operators for the machine on display by which we are able to grasp about exactly what is happening on the machine, whereas exhibitions outside India, are automatic and everything is done on the web. It is not easy to recognise in brief then as to what technology has been used.

One good thing about the new generation.
The young generation is very professional and focused. They think on the global level more than on the national level itself. They come to any industry by choice, so they enjoy whatever they do, which leads them to success.

One worrying thing about the new generation
With the new generation, I feel that they sometimes tend to take a hasty decision.

Favourite stall you are looking forward to at PrintPack India 2011?
I am mostly looking at the Indian manufacturers. There are many stalls I am planning to look forward at PrintPack: Technova, Welbound, along with others.

Life without print...
Boring.

Mantra for success
One should have a focused vision be it in short-term or long-term. One should follow it sincerely with full dedication and should be capable to take their own decisions and not get influenced by others.

Today after the PrintPack India 2011 show you will..

Its chilling here in Delhi, so I plan to go back to my hotel and rest.

One line about PrintPack India 2011
It is the greatest show for the Indian printers. I suggest all the exhibitions held in India should be combined to PrintPack.

Mark Kannenberg, president, RBP Chemical Technology

One print guru I remember the most and why?
I am from America. My print guru is Jack Hays, president of the US Printing Association. Most of the print industry knowledge, I got is from him.

The best technology you look forward to at PrintPack India 2011?
I am looking forward to lithography presses and the technology used by the Indian companies. The Indian press room chemistry stands interesting.

One good thing about the new generation.
I feel the young generation is very vibrant and talented. They are capable of doing many things together, which is impressive.

Favourite stall at PrintPack 2011.
I haven’t visited much stalls yet. But so far, MGE Graphics Systems India, Hall 7A/ Stall 6A, looks interesting.

Life without print...
Terrible.

Favourite phrase..
Live life with no regrets.

Today after the PrintPack India 2011 show you will..
Enjoy dinner with friends.
