The Rochester-based printer produced the full-colour brochure as part of the 'Love Food Hate Waste' strategy using PaperCo's FSC-certified 9lives 80 'born again' recycled paper.
The 14pp pamphlet, printed for Kent County Council on the firm's five-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster SM 74, featured a shortened cover to reveal some of the brochure's content.
The finishing was carried out in-house using the eight-staff printer's Heidelberg Stitchmaster.
Unique Printflo director Tony Humblestone told printweek.com that both Kent County Council and the designers "requested an FSC-certified paper" for the work.
He added that the 9lives 80 coated paper was chosen for the job as "we wanted a 170gsm paper that had the right environmental credentials and would run well on press".
Kent County Council waste minimisation officer Belinda Moran added that the brochure "looks great and it feels great to hold".
