The print and paper advocacy group said its new members now have access to a large library of co-brandable communications tools, consumer research, sustainability advice, and events.
Established in 1977 and the newest member for Two Sides, Springfield Papers serves customers in the education, legal, health, and public sectors.
“Springfield Papers are delighted to become a member and support Two Sides. We love all things paper and are passionate about being the best paper supplier we can be to the public, corporate and education sectors,” said Russell Gardiner, marketing manager at Springfield Papers.
“We take sustainability seriously and are committed advocates of supplying environmentally friendly paper and are proud to have been awarded FSC certification and PEFC accreditation, alongside being certified for Chain of Custody.
“Springfield Papers are always looking at ways to effectively cut down on emissions and waste. We supply sustainable paper on all levels, always optimising our systems and processes to reduce our impacts on the environment.”
HP became a member of Two Sides a few months ago. Since 2016, HP brand paper has been derived from recycled or certified sources, and since 2020 this has also been the case for paper-based packaging for home and office printers and supplies, PCs, and displays.
The business has reduced single-use plastic packaging by 44% compared to 2018 and increased the use of recycled content plastic across its personal systems and print products.
HP was also delighted to become a member of Two Sides.
“We aim to be the world’s most sustainable and just tech company, taking urgent action to combat climate change, protect human rights, and accelerate digital equity,” said Peter Jolly, UK and Ireland HP Industrial country manager.
“As sustainability is an important factor for many of our customers and consumers, the library of facts that we have access to by joining Two Sides will be of great use in our own customer communications, helping to promote our print and paper products.”
Finally, last month Two Sides welcomed Ian Bates as its new European marketing and partnership director.
After over 20 years working within the packaging industry, including working with brand owners to help them reduce their dependency on single-use plastic, Bates brings with him a raft of experience about the forest and cellulose value chain and how to collaborate with multiple partners and stakeholders.
Two Sides said he has joined at an important time when key decisions are being made about optimising materials and packaging design to deliver minimal social, environmental, and commercial impacts.
