The iCtPlate pack includes 10 polyester-based plates and iFount as well as simplyRIP RIP software.
The system uses a customer's existing Epson inkjet printer and a standard PC - although the printer can continue to be used as a proofing device and be switched between printing, proofing and plate-creation tasks as needed.
TUK Systems owner Salim Giga said: "The small printer was left behind in the computer-to-plate revolution. They still need to find at least £10,000 to invest in most suppliers' starter systems, which is too high a cost for most small businesses, especially in the current economic climate."
The system is able to produce plates at 2,880x2,880dpi and can produce photographic images in AM screening at 175lpi. It can also be upgraded to include an integrated iDot Meter calibration tool.
