TRM fits Martin folder-gluer

Box manufacturer TRM has installed a Martin 1228 flexo folder-gluer to cope with growing demand in the snack food market.

The firm produces nearly 1m large cases a week from four printing and die-cutting facilities in Merseyside.

The latest addition from Martin, part of the Bobst group, is a complete corrugated converting line, which can run at 15,000 boxes per hour with board thicknesses up to 10mm.

"Large palletised transit and display units are essential to our customers for serving the supermarket giants with what they want," said the TRM.

"This is easy storage and handling along with attractive in-store presence for fast-moving products."

The Martin 1228 was slotted between the firm's existing prefeeder and palletiser.
