The long perfector will replace a five-colour B2 press and will join a 12-colour perfecting B1 Speedmaster and a six-colour CD102.
Charles Lewitt, managing director of TL Visuals, said: "Long perfectors are the future. Tighter and tighter margins mean putting work twice through a press is not cost effective. We have found our long perfector to be the busiest press, often with insufficient capacity and so we have decided to focus on this area."
The firm is also adding a second Prinect ImageControl system that will replace the AxisControl currently used on the five-colour machine.
This, combined with the firm's Prinect Prepress Interface, will give it fully closed loop colour control.
TL Visuals, which has a turnover of around 6m and was ranked 319 in last year's PrintWeek Top 500, will also add a Ti52 folder alongside the new press, which is planned to be installed over the Christmas break.
