TJ International installs Solprint for move to JDF

TJ International has completed its pressroom move to JDF with the installation of i-tebas Solprint MIS on all four Heidelberg Speedmaster presses.

The Padstow-based firm, PrintWeek's 2004 Printing Company of the Year, is now running its presses 24/7.

TJ's IT manager Neil Boucher said: "The benefits of JDF are obvious throughout the company. Staff feel they are doing their job better, and we as a company are more profitable."

He said that Solprint was chosen for its flexibility, in particular the direct interaction with i-teba's programmers, who developed a bespoke online machine loading/scheduling interface known as ProductionXN.

"We weren't just given a system out of a box and told 'that's it'. Going live with Solprint's JDF links has far surpassed our expectations," said Boucher.
