The Flying Press buys Duplo two-tower for schools contract

The Flying Press has doubled its capacity with the purchase of a Duplo two-tower system 5000.

The machine, which cost £44,500, includes two DC 10/60 collators, a DBM 500 bookletmaker and a trimmer.

Witney-based The Flying Press said the machine, which replaces a DM-250/T 10000s, would allow them to take in more work.

Stuart Cope, managing director of the B3 litho printer, said: "The machine is essentially a direct replacement, but we have taken on a large schools publication contract and it will allow us to handle this much more easily."

The Flying Press has Heidelberg SM five-colour and two-colour presses. The company has seven staff and a turnover of £450,000.
