The software as a service (SaaS) web-to-print platform offers full two-way integration with Tharstern's Primo MIS to help minimise order processing administration.
In addition to allowing printers' clients to create and edit documents online, the w2p tool now enables users to manage and approve documents online.
Tharstern marketing manager Ross Edwards said: "Chili Publisher has been developed from the ground up with a rich API that we have been able to seamlessly integrate our w2p application into.
"The two-way communication possible enables us to combine variable data with variable manufacture and variable price, something we have never been able to achieve."
Print buyers creating documets online or uploading PDFs for printing will be able to use Chili Publishers to send a preview to stakeholders, who will be able to annotate the document and approve/decline it prior to printing.
"We’ve been able to capitalise on the previewing, comment and annotation features to extend our offering to online document creation and online content proofing and management," said Edwards.
"We can now present our customers with a very powerful integrated solution that is not just web2print but web2workflow.This will help them generate and maximise revenue and profitability via e-commerce."
Alan Dixon, managing director of Chili Publisher's UK distributor Workflowz, added: "Everybody who's seen how well it's been integrated has said 'wow, we didn't even think that was technically possible' – it really has raised the bar and Tharstern can now offer something in online document approval that was never there before.
"The w2p, online design, and management of that kind of collateral is a massive enhancement to what they had before – it's a much more mature technology, with a greater feature set."
Bram Verniest, managing partner of Chili Publish, said: "This was a textbook case on how Chili Publisher can be integrated with other software or platforms. Tharstern has done a terrific job."
