The Facilities Group (TFG) is parting company with ex-Pillans & Wilson boss Gary Knights just as its new print-buying division gets into its stride.
Knights has been at the group for nine months and is sales and marketing director for TFG which includes its recently formed Printhaus division.
He refused to comment but a source said Knights was working a three-month notice period and leaving of his own accord on good terms.
Head hunters are looking for a new sales and marketing director.
TFG, which is 75% owned by Saatchi & Saatchi with the Cordiant Communications Group owing the rest, launched Printhaus in the summer.
"The firm decided it needed something like Printhaus as an extra division to look at print purchasing," said Printhaus director Carolyn Lindsey.
It was previously handled by each separate division of the firm on an ad hoc basis. TFG alone includes typesetting, art work, web design and photography divisions.
Printhaus will also pitch for new work and aims to notch up 1.5m of print buying in its first year. It wants to take on more staff than the two currently dedicated to the set up.
"We want to capitalise on the print-buying power we have as a group, using the Saatchi base," she said.
Lindsey was sales and marketing manager at The Beacon Press before joining TFG and was also client services director at Pillans & Wilson.
