The Telegraph Group has ordered an editorial system from Digital Technology International in a deal worth over 5m.
Page layout and copy entry are based on Adobes InDesign and InCopy applications, making Telegraph Group the biggest user of InDesign in the UK.
NewSpeed 5.0 is a database driven system that integrates the complete production process. The firm also has DTI systems for ad production and will install 25 PlanSpeed seats for planning and tracking advertising and editorial.
The fundamental reasons for selecting NewSpeed were the database technology and access through a common user interface to text, pictures, graphics and adverts, said IT director Chris Heath.
Adobe technical specialist David Stevenson said: Were turning the corner with InDesign; people can see the writing on the wall for Quark.
