The three new CCM Premier machines – a 400bph Premier Binder, the 4,500sph Premier Creaser and 3.5m/min Premier Laminator – are primarily targeted at digital printers looking for a cost-effective way to bring finishing services in-house.
“CP Bourg products are still our top-end machines, but we appreciate that their performance comes at a price and might not be appropriate for everyone, so we wanted to add some more entry-level, smaller machines,” said TCS sales manager Dean Stayne.
The sub-£9,000 Premier Binder is available in two colours, grey as standard or an optional powder-coated blue. It can bind products up to 420mm long and 60mm thick, and features automatic clamps, three gluing rollers and a touchscreen GUI. It can also be configured with two milling/notching options.
The suction-fed Premier Creaser is available for under £6,000 and can also handle sheets up to 420mm wide from 100-400gsm. It can be configured as either a standalone or table-top device.
The Premier Laminator sells for circa £6,500 and features double thickness silicon rollers that can laminate A3 sheets either single- or double-sided and is controlled via a touchscreen. It can use laminating films, also available from TCS, with cores of 25mm, 58mm or 76mm.
The machines are manufactured in Europe as a “blank canvas” and TCS, which offers full service support, makes a few modifications before rebadging them under its own CCM Premier branding.
Two of each of the new machines are due to be delivered to TCS’s Nottingham showroom today (12 February).
“We’ve got people lining up to come and seem them,” said Stayne.
