Latterly chief executive of Guardian Media Group Radio, Taylor’s appointment is the latest in a series of senior appointments including new chief executives for its Asia Pacific and German operations and the promotion of David Payne to the role of chief development officer in the US.
"Stuart Taylor brings a wealth of experience; his track record will provide a fresh perspective on our sector," said Kinetic Worldwide EMEA chief executive Andy Jonesco.
Taylor added: "It’s a time of great innovation in the out of home sector, with the growing role it has to play as connected devices drive the convergence of content, transactions and communication. To have the opportunity to lead the UK team at this time is too good to miss."
The firm’s US division recently rolled out sister firm Spafax Networks’ SN: Xchange ad serving and reporting system for digital place-based media.
A spokesman for the UK operation commented that there were no immediate plans for a similar roll out in the UK. He added that digital, while growing, was still less than 20% of out of home business and print remained core.
Kinetic, which is part of WPP group’s out of home division Tenthavenue, also owns Hi-Rezz; the Fulham-based print management firm handles wide-format print from taxi panels to large format billboards and airport displays.
