T-Mobile awards five-year print contract to Communisis

T-Mobile UK has given a five-year contract to provide print-sourcing and consulting services for its customer communications requirements to Communisis.

The five-year contract will run from July and was won through a tender from Charterhouse, which had handled T-Mobile work for the past 13 years.

T-Mobile head of sales campaign management Andrew Boadhurst said: "We felt that Communisis offered the best possible combination of expertise, experience and advanced technology-led solutions to help us achieve this goal."

Communisis expects the win will make little impact to revenues in its current financial year, but will see revenue improvements as the contract progresses.

Communisis chief executive Steve Vaughan said: "This was a hotly contested piece of business and I am extremely pleased to announce our success in winning it.

"This type of work sits right in the sweet spot of Communisis' 'beyond print management' model and is a strategically important contract for us that further validates our value-added offering."

T-Mobile has 16.7m customers in the UK and Communisis is tasked with reducing the cost of and improving the effectiveness of T-Mobile's communications with them.

The work includes point-of-sale marketing, logistics and distribution of print products, print sourcing and e-procurement.

Shares in Communisis rose 7.56% to 32p at the time of writing.
