The Redhill, Surrey-based company has relocated to a 930sqm facility and has replaced a previous Ryobi 784E machine with a new five-colour 755 press from the same manufacturer.

The B2 press is expected to improve turnaround times by sealing in-line – a configuration that will allow work to be finished shortly after printing.

Managing director Neil Parsons said the 755 had helped the company become better equipped to cope with the longer run lengths it needed to produce.

He added: "Having located the right business premises, the time was right to make further investments in our printing equipment and move on to the Ryobi 755."

Summit Print has increased production space by a third with the new freehold facility, increased the working day up to 18 hours from 12, and added a weekend 12-hour shift.

The B2 Ryobi 755, supplied by Apex Digital Graphics, can print up to 15,000sph on substrates up to 0.6mm thick.
