Austrian firm Trevision became the beta test site for the machine in August, shortly followed by an installation at German firm KL Druck.
The other five installations at undisclosed firms include sites in the UK, France, Russia, Canada and another German installation.
Both Trevision and KL Druck invested in the Rhotex 320 to meet increasing demand for soft signage. Other installations have been for a combination of soft signage and true textile applications.
Durst Rhotex 320 product manger Elmar Hofmann said: "The Rhotex 320 has been so successful because it is a unique concept. It’s the first industrial printer for digital fabric printing."
