The west London-based printer, which is part of the Océ Digital Newspaper network, installed an Océ Jetstream 1000 in February, enabling it to introduce colour newspapers, one of the first digital printers in the world to do so.
Over the last few months Stroma has been coming to terms with the intricacies of the machine, which include an offline finishing system compared to its previous online system.
Stroma managing director Steve Brown said that it had achieved its primary objective of being able to produce colour newspapers.
He said: "During our key time, we think there is the potential for this machine to produce 6,000 copies and currently we are nowhere near that. We are involved in some potentially big discussions at the moment.
"It has been a steep learning curve getting to grips with the colour machine, there is a big difference to black and white. But we are now good to go and I would say watch this space."
Brown added that the company was also looking at other products that it can run on the machine in order to fill the daytime slot.
