The new press will be used to produce six-colour commercial work and magazine covers.
The company’s new Autobond Laminator provides both gloss and matt laminating, along with spot UV varnishing.
The company, a subsidary of the Goodhead Group, has also invested in a Kodak Magnus 800 Platesetter, an eight-page Computer-to-Plate (CTP) device that will enable it to produce around 40 plates per hour.
Stones managing director Steve Palmer said: "The installation of this new equipment forms part of Stones’ programme of successful investment and improvement, and dovetails with the expansion that has been happening at BGP’s Bicester plant."
In January, employees across the Goodhead Group agreed to accept a pay cut of 13.5% to enable the company to continue as a self-supporting entity.
