The Stockport-based, £3.5m-turnover company has also recently installed a B2 size Delta laminating machine, which offers short and medium run-lengths, in a bid to bring more finishing work in-house.
The new press, which is due to be up and running by the end of May, will replace a Xerox 700 machine and features a fifth colour unit offering high gloss varnish and textured finishes.
DXG Media, which has 28 staff, recently celebrated both its 10th year of trading and its best year yet in terms of turnover and profitability, according to DXG Media managing director Duarte Goncalves.
The company also plans to replace its Heidelberg CD102-6 with a new, or nearly new, CD 102 5LX.
Goncalves said: "It is essential that we become more efficient with our B1 makereadies and run speeds if we are to remain competitive, especially in light of the unrealistic pricing offered by some of our competitors. We will be visiting Drupa 2012 to examine our options more closely."
