Steinbeis scoops sustainability award

Steinbeis Papier has received the German Sustainability Prize for 2008, making it one of the top three most sustainable enterprises in Germany.

The company, which claims to be Europe's leading producer of recycled papers, manufactures graphic recycled papers from 100% recovered paper and it was presented with the award on 5 December in Düsseldorf.

Michael Söffge, chief executive of Steinbeis Papier Glückstadt, said: "We are proud of this award which is at the same time an award for our customers.

"In using Steinbeis' papers they are part of our successful strategy towards sustainability and thus underline their commitment in the effort to conserve the climate and resources."
