The north east England-based company can also now control its jobs from end-to-end, cutting the amount of work sent out.
Production director Steve Miller said: "In a demanding environment we wanted to handle work by scheduling the mailing and fulfilment in-house. Previously we were outsourcing this type of work or doing it manually in-house."
The company predominantly handles short-run enveloping jobs, running from 4,000-10,000, but also takes a small portion of work that is 30,000 plus.
Statexcolourprint's Mailmaster comes with four insert stations, including in-line folding facilities. It can handle work including letterheads, periodicals and Reports and Accounts. It runs from 3,000-5,000 envelopes per hour depending on the type of mailing.
Miller added: "The new in-house mailing and fulfilment department has helped our sales team to offer our clients a wider print service. As printers offering an added value mailing service, not a mailing house, we did not want to investment in a huge machine at vast cost which, at this stage, we would not have been able to fill."
