The kit investment will also free up some capacity from the company's five-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster, allowing it to carry out dedicated CMYK work.
Stargold's new two-colour machine replaces one of the company's Printmaster 46 presses and is a significant move for the previously all-Heidelberg house.
Bob Jeffries, managing director at Stargold, said: "The Sanxin suits our needs perfectly and acts as a bridge between our two- and five-colour machines."
The 52cm-format machine will handle work that the company could not carry out on its 46cm Printmaster and was proving too inefficient to run on its Speedmaster.
Terry Salters, production director at Stargold, said: "The general consensus of everyone here who’s been involved in purchasing the Sanxin and getting it up and running is that it will do what we want it to do."
The 17-staff commercial printer carries out a range of litho and digitally-printed work for clients including those in the tourism sector, from its 650sqm Kidderminster site.
