St Bride readies Design Conclave event

St Bride Foundation has announced the line-up for its 2024 Design Enclave event.

It will take place on Saturday 28 September as an in-person event at the historic St Bride Foundation site off Fleet Street in London, and via Zoom online.

The Design Enclave 2024 theme is ‘Outside the Lines’.

Becky Chilcott, St Bride Foundation trustee and event curator commented: “We are delighted to be bringing back the St Bride Foundation Design Conclave in September. Last year’s event exceeded all our expectations and successfully brought our global community together to celebrate creativity and cement St Bride Foundation at its heart.

“The work we are doing at St Bride Foundation is crucial in today’s landscape where the study, education and promotion of the arts, design and technology is greatly in decline.”

She said that as well as bringing like-minded professionals together the conclave team were also working closely with initiatives including mentorship scheme ‘Design. Publishing. Inclusivity.’ to give creatives from under-represented groups the opportunity to attend the event.

This year’s speakers include: Micaela Alcaino, Kelli Anderson, Charlotte Bartrop, Kate Dawkins, Aoife Dooley, Danielle Duncan, Tudinh Duong and Malcolm Garrett.

The conclave illustrator is Lana Lê and the official photographer is Daniel Selway.

In-person attendees will receive a copy of the conference poster designed by renowned book cover designer Jon Gray, and conference attendees will also be able to have a go at letterpress printing at the St Bride Foundation printing workshop, home to a number of historic presses.

Standard in-person tickets are £80 with concessions available, while online tickets are £50 (also with concession options).

The event is sponsored by Sorkin Type, Fenner Paper and Fleet Street Quarter business improvement district.
