The honorific is part of an official Cornwall Council scheme recognising businesses that manufacture their products in the county, and SAPC is the only printing company to have been so recognised.
The award was presented by Colonel Edward Bolitho OBE, Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall, and St Austell mayor councillor Tim Styles, following a tour of the factory in St Austell last week.
It comes about after SAPC’s recent investment in an RMGT Ryobi Mitsubishi 9 Series press with LED-UV curing technology, the expansion of its digital printshop, the introduction of a new specialist finishing department and the installation of one of Cornwall’s largest solar roof panel arrays.
SAPC marketing and communications manager Matt Bunt said: “We will proudly carry the official ‘Made in Cornwall’ logo on our marketing material used by both local and national clients.
“This is an opportunity to help promote Cornwall’s reputation as a forward-thinking, ambitious, and exciting place to do business.”
SAPC owner and managing director Peter Moody added: “This accreditation is proof of our commitment to the economy of the county, our valued team, and helping to promote what the manufacturing sector in Cornwall can achieve.
“Where other printing companies regularly outsource their work, we’re proud to keep all core aspects of our printing and finishing under one roof.”
The accreditation follows an eventful year for SAPC, which saw the success of its second annual Print Power event and the use of its premises as a film set for an adaptation of one of Cornish romance novelist Rosamunde Pilcher’s novels.
